Blackalls Park Off-Leash Area
The off-leash dog area is to the east of the picnic/shelter area. Surrounded on two sides by the lake, a peaceful grassed area and bushland to run your four-legged friend.
Bolton Point Off-Leash Area
A large, grassed area with plenty of shade. A great place to throw a ball or frisbee with your dog.
Booragul Foreshore Reserve, Booragul
Park at the car park near the Booragul jetty. The reserve runs south along the edge of the lake, past Lake Macquarie City Art Gallery to Marmong Cove and Marmong Street.
Charlestown Dog Off-Leash Area
Leash-free at all times, except when netball is in progress. Part of the Reserve off Dudley Road, near the cemetery. Unfenced to the road so exercise caution.
Dobinson Reserve, Blacksmiths
Dobinson Reserve is bordered by the Pacific Highway, Maneela Street, Tirranna Street and Tirriki Street. An open, grassed area perfect for letting your pooch play.
Foreshore Reserve, Buttaba
A grassy bushland area with lots of shade, next to the Lake.
Gurranba Reserve, Coal Point
A picturesque and quiet spot close to the lake with plenty of trees and shade. Access is via Skye Point Road.
Hampton Street Reserve, Carey Bay
Open grassland with a small section of bushland. Lots of space to let your dog run free. Leash-free at all times except during pony club events.
Hams Beach Off-Leash Area, Caves Beach
Access is via Mawson Close. Park at the Hams Beach car park and the off-leash area is from the car park to the ocean. A great 24 hour dog beach to take your four-legged pal for a run and a swim.
Marks Point Off-Leash Area
A nice grassed area to let your doggo off for a run. On Haddon Crescent and Docker Street, unfenced to the road.
Nine Mile Beach, Blacksmiths
Park at Blacksmiths Beach car park, off Awabakal Avenue and let your dog run free and have a swim in the off-leash area. Belmont Golf Club is the boundary.
Nine-Mile Beach, Redhead
Park at Cain Street Reserve and walk along the bush path to the beach, once on the beach you can set your dog free for a run and a swim. The leash-free area is between second and third creeks. Dogs must be under effective control at all times and are prohibited north of First Creek at Redhead Beach.
Pendlebury Park, Bonnells Bay
Bounded by Grand Parade and the Lake, Pendlebury Park Off-leash area is a peaceful and picturesque spot to let your dog off-leash, for a run or a swim.
Rathmines Park, Rathmines
A lovely, peaceful waterfront park. Leash-free at all times unless the park has been booked for a community event.
Speers Point Park Dog Exercise Area
A fantastic fully-fenced 10,000 square metre dog park complete with dog agility equipment, water fountains for dogs and owners, bench seating and a shaded picnic table. The perfect spot to exercise and socialise your dog.
Thomas Humphreys Reserve, Swansea
With seating, shade and lots of parking, this open, grassed area is a top spot to take your dog for a run and play.
Wyee Oval, Wyee
A large, open, grassed oval with seating, bins and plenty of parking.

Leash-free from sunrise to 10am on weekdays only.
Cardiff Off-Leash Area
Leash-free from sunrise to 10am on weekdays only. No.3 Oval. Access via Orchard Street.
Dora Creek Off-Leash Area
Leash-free from sunrise to 10am on weekdays only. On Douglass Street. Open, grassed area.
Gateshead Off-Leash Area
Leash-free sunrise to 10am on weekdays only. Bounded by Willow Road, open drains and wetlands.
Gregory Park and Les Wakeman Field, West Wallsend
Leash-free from sunrise to 10am on weekdays only. Gregory Park is the soccer field on Edden Street. Les Wakeman Oval is the rugby field on Hyndes Street.
Lenaghan Oval, Belmont North
Leash-free sunrise to 10am on weekdays only. The rugby league oval on Wommara Avenue.
Lions Park, Toronto Off-Leash Area
Leash-free sunrise to 10am daily, except on market days (third Sunday of the month).
Taylor Park, Barnsley
Leash-free from sunrise to 10am on weekdays only. It’s the soccer oval so, as always, remember poo bags and always pick up after your dog.
Thomas H Halton Park, Croudace Bay
Leash-free sunrise to 10am and 4.30pm to sunset on weekdays only, excluding public holidays. Large, grassed area near the water’s edge. Lots of bins. Knee-deep water for your dog to have a swim.
Bahloo Reserve, Windale
Leash-free sunrise to 10am on weekdays only. The sporting oval, accessed via Merrigum Street.
